Acres of burned forests. Trees looked like matchsticks. |
6/7/2016. Skani. River to Prophet River. 61 miles. Sunny, rolling hills equals great riding. We had to dry camp again, this time by the river. We were outside playing cards and I just happen to mention about putting our bike bags in the trailer for the night because of bears and just then, Dean looks up and a big black bear is walking across the river from us. It was a big one and of course, I hardly slept a wink listening for bears outside out tent. Then today we moved onto Fort Nelson, 61 miles away. Overcast and nice biking. No wildlife siteing for us today.

I'm glad your having such good weather, not to mention bears. Do keep the food out of your tent. Jim H
